Abstract

El bienestar social promedio en los países de la OCDE habría disminuido un 1,9% en la última década si se hubiera internalizado el daño producido por las emisiones de CO2, pero con un beneficio neto en términos intertemporales al evitar los peores escenarios futuros de calentamiento global, con un coste muy elevado. The average social welfare in OECD countries would have decreased by 1.9% during the past decade if the damages caused by CO2 emissions had been internalized. Nevertheless, a net intertemporal gain could have been achieved by preventing the most severe future outcomes of global warming, which entail a substantial cost.
