Abstract

Producers' purchase decisions for Multiple Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) were analyzed under the AREA and Actual Production History (APH) Coverage Plans. Global certainty equivalents were determined to predict MPCI purchases in a simulation using subjective crop yield probability distributions. The frequency of predicted MPCI purchases increased under the APH Plan.
