Abstract

Umweltgerechtigkeit ist ein Leitbild, das sowohl die gerechtere Verteilung von Umweltbelastungen und -ressourcen verfolgt als auch die gerechtere Teilhabe an umweltpolitisch relevanten Entscheidungsprozessen. Im Beitrag wird aufbauend auf theoretischen und empirischen Grundlagen aus Deutschland und dem Ausland herausgearbeitet, was Umweltgerechtigkeit ausmacht und wie dieses Leitbild mit Stadtentwicklung verknüpft ist. Hierbei werden auch Erkenntnisse eines mit deutschen Kommunen durchgeführten Planspiels zu Umweltgerechtigkeit dargestellt.
