Abstract

Dear David,It seems to me that many investors simply cannot accept the notion that stock prices are very difficult to predict. We don’t buy the idea that the market “plays dice” (apologies to Einstein), so we continually look for prophets to guide us through the wilderness. This desire for order in the midst of chaos has created a cottage industry of market gurus, which is the subject of my letter today.
