Abstract

The MAQUETTE Program is a Keynesian simulation software. It provides open simulations of economic policies. It is currently used to support the economics' course in high school. It is useful to show the interdependence of macroeconomic variables and allows to see the limits of such a tool (Lucas' critique). As the previous release of MAQUETTE, the "MAQUETTE 5.6 The Challenger" provides open simulations of economic policies. It is currently used to support the economics' course in high school. It is useful to show the interdependence of macroeconomic variables and allows to see the limits of such a tool (Lucas' critique). The new release allows to compute a synthetic index to assess the quality of the simulation's results according to the level of the PIB, the Unemployment rate and the various balances. Another program, SCOMAQ, in the package, independant than the main one (MAQUETTE.EXE) also allows to manage a lot of "players" in sorting and displaying the indices for each player on the computer of the "manager" (teacher).
