Abstract

Der Forschungs- und Technologiebericht 2017 ist der Lagebericht über die aus Bundesmitteln geförderte Forschung, Technologie und Innovation in Österreich und wurde im Auftrag der Bundesministerien für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Wirtschaft (BMWFW) und Verkehr, Innovation und Technologie (BMVIT) erarbeitet. Auf Basis aktueller Daten, Analysen und Befunde werden relevante Entwicklungstrends und ausgewählte Themen des österreichischen Innovationssystems beschrieben und im internationalen Kontext reflektiert. Der Bericht umfasst eine Darstellung der jüngsten Globalschätzung über die Entwicklung der F&E-Ausgaben in Österreich für das Jahr 2017, einer Positionierung Österreichs in internationalen Rankings und einer Beschreibung aktueller Entwicklungen in der Umsetzung der FTI-Strategie des Bundes sowie anderer strategischer Initiativen in der FTI-Politik. Darüber hinaus werden schwerpunktmäßig die Entwicklung neuer Innovationsparadigmen und deren Bedeutung für Österreich umrissen sowie Entwicklungen in den Bereichen Forschung, Unternehmen und Arbeitsmarkt im Gefolge der aktuellen Trends in der Digitalisierung und zunehmender F&E- und Wissensintensität umfänglich dargestellt und diskutiert. Weiters wird die Entwicklung der österreichischen Position im europäischen Forschungsraum (European Research Area - ERA) aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven beleuchtet und vor dem Hintergrund der nationalen ERA Roadmap analysiert.
