Die Innovationsaktivitäten der österreichischen Wirtschaft

Abstract

Österreichs Unternehmen investieren – so die wirtschafts- und technologiepolitische Kritik – zuwenig in Forschung und Entwicklung. Die Ergebnisse des vom WIFO durchgeführten Community Innovation Survey (CIS) zeichnen ein deutlich positiveres Bild und vor allem umfassendes Bild des Innovationsverhaltens der österreichischen Unternehmen im produzierenden und im Dienstleistungssektor. Der Community Innovation Survey wurde in allen EU-Ländern gleichzeitig durchgeführt. So sind internationale Vergleiche für die wichtigsten Innovationsvariablen und eine Standortbestimmung der österreichischen Wirtschaft möglich. Gemessen an der Innovationsneigung sowie dem Ergebnis des Innovationsprozesses schneidet Österreich dabei sehr gut ab.
