Auswirkungen der EU-Osterweiterung auf den österreichischen Arbeitsmarkt

Abstract

Die Integration der Länder Ost-Mitteleuropas in die Europäische Union wird Österreich langfristig sicherheitspolitische und auch wirtschaftliche Vorteile bringen. Sie wirft jedoch eine Reihe von Fragen auf. Besonders brisant ist das Problem der Migration und der Pendelwanderungen bei voller Freizügigkeit der Arbeitskräfte im EU-Binnenmarkt. Die Studie versucht, das Potential an Zuwanderern und Pendlern aus den fünf ostmitteleuropäischen Ländern zu schätzen, das nach Gewährung der Freizügigkeit auf dem österreichischen Arbeitsmarkt auftreten könnte. Weiters setzt sich die Studie mit den Auswirkungen des erhöhten Arbeitskräfteangebotes auf den österreichischen Arbeitsmarkt auseinander.
