Kosten-Nutzen-Analyse des Bildungssystems am Beispiel der Sekundarstufe II. Teil B: Länderstudien

Abstract

Die Untersuchung geht der Frage nach der Effizienz des Schulsystems sowie nach dem wirtschaftlichen Ertrag der Bildung für den Einzelnen und die Gesellschaft nach. Der Schwerpunkt der Analyse liegt auf der oberen Sekundarstufe, die eine Schlüsselrolle für die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit einer Volkswirtschaft innehat. Die Herausforderungen an das Bildungssystem aufgrund der technologischen, wirtschaftlichen und auch demographischen Veränderungen sind international ähnlich, die Ausgangssituation und auch die politischen Strategien der einzelnen Länder unterscheiden sich jedoch häufig. Die Analyse der Kosten der Ausbildungskarrieren und der Bildungserträge zeigt, dass Österreich in Relation zum Ertrag relativ mehr für die berufsorientierte Ausbildung aufwendet als die Niederlande, Australien und Großbritannien.
