Abstract

Die leichte Aufwärtstendenz der österreichischen Wirtschaft setzte sich Anfang 2016 fort, für einen kräftigen Aufschwung fehlen allerdings Impulse aus dem Außenhandel. Regional war die Entwicklung im bisherigen Jahresverlauf innerhalb der Großregionen, aber auch zwischen Regionen mit ähnlicher Wirtschaftsstruktur durchaus heterogen. Ein West-Süd-Ostgefälle blieb allerdings in Ansätzen erhalten, wenn auch die Ostregion gegenüber den Bundesländern im Westen etwas aufgeholt haben dürfte. Neuerlich verlief die Industrie- und Baukonjunktur in Westösterreich günstiger, der Einzelhandel erholte sich deutlicher.
