    Abstract

    Die Informationsbewertung unter Risiko ist analytisch ueberzeugend geloest und es finden sich zahlreiche empirische Untersuchungen zu diesem Komplex. Seit 1961 von Ellsberg der Begriff „Ambiguitaet“ in die Entscheidungstheorie eingefuehrt wurde, sind auch Entscheidungen unter Ambiguitaet empirisch haeufig untersucht worden. Erstaunlicherweise wurde jedoch das Entscheidungsproblem der Informationsbewertung unter Ambiguitaet bislang kaum betrachtet. Dies ist das Thema der vorliegenden Arbeit, die empirisch den Zusammenhang zwischen dem Informationswert, der Staerke der Meinung, der Ambiguitaetseinstellung und der Kompetenz des Entscheiders untersucht. Die Datengrundlage bildet eine eigene, internetgestuetzte Befragung unter 242 Teilnehmern. Fuer jeden Teilnehmer werden die Daten zu je einer Situation aus den Bereichen Sport, Politik und Wirtschaft erfasst. Insgesamt stehen somit 726 Datensaetze zur Verfuegung. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass der empirische Zusammenhang zwischen der Staerke der Meinung und dem Informationswert sehr gut und hoch signifikant mit dem vorhergesagten negativen Einfluss des CEU-Modells uebereinstimmt. Die Kompetenz besitzt einen signifikant negativen Einfluss auf den Informationswert. Zentrales Ergebnis der Arbeit ist der bemerkenswerte Beleg, dass die Anpassungsguete eines einfachen (univariaten) linearen Modells zur Erklaerung der Informationswertsumme mindestens so gut ist wie die des sehr viel komplizierteren und auf mehreren Einflussfaktoren beruhenden CEU-Modells. So bestaetigt die Arbeit zwar die grundlegenden Aussagen des CEU-Modells fuer die Bewertung von Informationen, legt jedoch nahe, dass ein sehr viel einfacheres Modell empirisch mindestens ebenso gut geeignet ist.
