Abstract

Este es un texto fundamental para la formación integral de cualquier economista. Aborda las herramientas estándar y avanzadas de un curso inicial de microeconomía. El libro revisa temas como los modelos del consumidor, del productor y sus aplicaciones, así como las estructuras de mercado y su interacción con el Estado, que se enriquecen con ejercicios prácticos al final de cada capítulo. Cecilia Garavito Masalías ofrece a lo largo del volumen conceptos esenciales de microeconomía y también datos y ejemplos de la economía peruana que permitirán al estudiante aplicar a la realidad los modelos revisados. Asimismo, se amplía el enfoque tomando en cuenta variables no tradicionales como el efecto de los roles de género sobre las decisiones de consumo y producción.
