Dilemas en salud: investigación en diálogos con las ciencias sociales y humanas

Abstract

La presente publicación contiene los resultados de la investigación de profesores y egresados vinculados al Área de Salud, Conocimiento Médico y Sociedad del Centro de Investigaciones sobre Dinámica Social (ClDS) de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas de la Universidad Externado de Colombia. El trabajo muestra las tensiones y dilemas de ciertas prácticas en salud, y las demandas por la autonomía, la inclusión, la solidaridad y la justicia sanitaria. Dilemas y tensiones que están en los debates de la bioética y que exigen la integración y el diálogo entre los diferentes aportes epistemológicos y metodológicos de las ciencias sociales, la filosofía y las ciencias de la vida y la salud. La presente edición de Cuadernos del UDS es un aporte a los dilemas en salud desde las ciencias sociales y humanas, Contiene las siguientes investigaciones: la naturaleza de los dilemas morales y la racionalidad práctica; enfrentar el propio diagnóstico desde la experiencia de los pacientes-médicos; la construcción de significados en torno a la intención del tratamiento en mujeres con cáncer; el análisis de los discursos de médicos y abogados en torno a los procedimientos del fin de la vida; la conspiración del silencio en familiares de pacientes con cáncer; las ideologías políticas de la salud; entre la desolación y el olvido: los trabajadores del hospital San Juan de Dios.
