Partnerschaften im Alter – eine Untersuchung auf Grundlage des Mikrozensus 1991 bis 2021

Abstract

Eine Folge des demografischen Wandels in Deutschland ist, dass Anzahl und Anteil derjenigen älteren Menschen zunehmen, die sich in einer Partnerschaft befinden. Eine Kohortenanalyse des Mikrozensus der Jahre 1991 bis 2021 zeigt, dass die individuelle Wahrscheinlichkeit auf ein Leben in Partnerschaft im Alter sowohl bei Männern als auch bei Frauen steigt. Mit dem demografischen Wandel ist eine günstige Entwicklung durch Angleichung der Geschlechterverhältnisse auf Partnermärkten verbunden. Diese günstige Entwicklung wird aber nicht voll ausgeschöpft, das heißt die Partnerschaften
