Werkstattbericht: Georeferenzierung im Statistischen Verbund

Abstract

Die Integration statistischer und geografischer Informationen gewinnt zunehmend an Bedeutung. Der Statistische Verbund arbeitet aktiv an der Schaffung einer nachhaltigen Infrastruktur zur dauerhaften Implementierung der Integration von Geo- und Statistikdaten. Damit soll Politik, Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft eine neue, erweiterte Grundlage für evidenzbasierte Entscheidungen mit Regionalbezug, die zur Willensbildung und in Entscheidungsprozessen in einer demokratischen Gesellschaft notwendig sind, zur Verfügung stehen. Der Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die Rahmenbedingungen, die angestoßenen Aktivitäten und die Analyseprojekte auf der Basis integrierter statistischer und geografischer Informationen.
