Der Wohnungsmarkt aus Sicht der Bautätigkeitsstatistik: Entwicklung und Kennzahlen seit der Jahrtausendwende

Abstract

Die Entwicklung des Wohnungsmarkts steht derzeit besonders im politischen wie gesellschaftlichen Fokus. Zum einen sind die Mieten und Immobilienpreise vielerorts in den vergangenen Jahren deutlich gestiegen. Eine Ursache hierfür ist, dass die in Deutschland lebende Bevölkerung nicht wie prognostiziert geschrumpft, sondern gewachsen ist. Um die Lage zu entspannen, muss auf der anderen Seite das Wohnungsangebot erhöht werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund vermittelt der Aufsatz einen Überblick über verschiedene Entwicklungen auf der Angebotsseite des Wohnungsmarkts im neuen Jahrtausend. Auch auf dem Themenkomplex Klimawandel und energetisches Bauen liegt aktuell ein Schwerpunkt der gesellschaftspolitischen Diskussion. Der Beitrag gibt daher einen Überblick über die beim Bauen neuer Wohngebäude für Heizzwecke eingesetzten Energiearten, insbesondere auf die hierbei verwandten erneuerbaren Energieträger.
