Abstract

Österreichs Arbeitsmarkt trotzte 2022 dem Ukraine-Krieg, der Energiekrise und der hohen Inflation. Der Aufschwung hielt an. Die Beschäftigung wuchs so kräftig wie zuletzt vor fast 50 Jahren und die Arbeitslosenquote sank auf den niedrigsten Stand seit 2008. 2023 dürfte die gedämpfte Konjunktur nur schwach auf den Arbeitsmarkt durchschlagen. Eine zentrale Herausforderung bleibt die Langzeitbeschäftigungslosigkeit. Sie ist trotz Rückgangs immer noch deutlich höher als vor der Finanzmarkt- und Wirtschaftskrise 2008/09.
