Ungleichgewichte im Euro-Raum

Abstract

Im Euro-Raum entstanden in den letzten Jahren erhebliche Leistungsbilanz- und Wettbewerbsungleichgewichte. Diese Disparitäten gefährden die Konjunkturerholung und beeinträchtigen mittelfristig die Wirtschaftsentwicklung sowie den Zusammenhalt in der Währungsunion. Der Abbau der Ungleichgewichte wird das Wirtschaftswachstum im Euro-Raum über mehrere Jahre dämpfen. Er könnte jedoch auch bei einem kräftigeren Wachstum erfolgen, wenn die Produktivität in den Defizitländern steigt und Deutschland die Inlandsnachfrage stärkt.
