Wirtschaftliche Integration in Mitteleuropa. Eine Bestandsaufnahme am Beispiel der CENTROPE-Region

Abstract

In der CENTROPE-Region sind die wirtschaftlichen Verflechtungen – trotz erheblicher Fortschritte in den letzten Jahren – immer noch weniger intensiv als in anderen Grenzregionen der EU. Potentielle Ansatzpunkte zu einer Verstärkung der interregionalen Arbeitsteilung wären aber vorhanden. Die spezifischen Standortvorteile dieser Region werden durch die Unternehmen nicht ausreichend genutzt, und auch die Lösung gemeinsamer arbeitsmarktpolitischer Probleme steht aus. So ist die Erwerbsquote der Älteren immer noch gering, die Jugendarbeitslosigkeit steigt, in den neuen EU-Ländern auch die Langzeitarbeitslosigkeit.
