Strukturwandel in der Textilindustrie

Abstract

In den neunziger Jahren war in der Textilindustrie mit zunehmender Öffnung der internationalen Märkte eine Beschleunigung des Strukturwandels festzustellen. Im EU-Vergleich zeichnen sich die heimischen Textilerzeuger durch eine überdurchschnittliche Steigerung von Wertschöpfung und Produktivität aus. Anhand der vom WIFO durchgeführten Unternehmensbefragung "Textil 2000+" lassen sich bisherige Entwicklungen nachzeichnen und künftige Trends abschätzen. Eine Verstärkung von Kooperationen zwischen heimischen Textilproduzenten könnte gemäß den Befragungsergebnissen einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Bewältigung des Strukturwandels leisten.
