Abstract

The immigration of STEM specialists has a decisive impact on Germany’s ability to innovate. Analyses by the German Economic Institute with a focus on India show high employment growth in recent years. Indian STEM specialists earn comparatively high median wages. The revised Skilled Labour Immigration Act offers the opportunity to further strengthen and accelerate this immigration process.
