Unemployment Problem Of Vet Center Graduates In Georgia

My research concerns the partnership between VET (vocational education and training) centers and employer companies. The purpose of the research is to study the participation of the employer companies in the process of employment of VET center graduates. I made the qualitative analysis of secondary information that implies using official documents/websites and made detailed notes from interviews with Directors/representatives of all VET centers in Tbilisi, Georgia. Also, I took interviews with Directors of several employer companies that cooperate with VET centers. As a result of my research I have found out that the government of Georgia started to undertake effective measures for unemployment decrease in the country, especially paying attention to professional development. Most of the VET centers in Tbilisi, Georgia have good cooperation with employer companies and number of people benefited from it as they have found jobs according to their professions. The research is giving recommendations on what is necessary to be done in order to increase professional staff in Georgia and what is the role of VET centers to give opportunity to the graduates to find jobs appropriate to their skills and qualifications.
