Abstract

Identifying the limit between financially excluded and non-excluded is not an easy task, since the object tends to be diffuse and subjective. This study aims to propose a methodology, based on Cluster Analysis and Neural Networks, for the referred delimitation. It makes use of a field research carried out in the municipality of Três Rios (Brazil). It is expected that this research may contribute to the design and execution of policies aimed at promoting the financial inclusion and bancarization.
