Crescimento Econômico da Pecuária de Corte: Evidências para Goiás (1997-2012)

Abstract

The present article analyzed what are the sense, the intensity, duration and permanence of shocks in the main economic determinants on the growth of the product of the bovine cattle in Goiás, between 1997 and 2012, according to the Theory of Real Business Cycles with vector error correction identified by the Bernanke process (VEC Structural). The main results indicate that supply shocks, which have dominant effect, affect the livestock product positively, whereas demand shocks have negative effects. The analysis also showed that the growth of production was analyzed the stock of animals and productivity and exports advanced due to growth in Goiás cattle.
