Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit den permanent wachsenden digitalen Datenbeständen, umgangssprachlich als Big Data bezeichnet, verändern sich auch die Anforderungen an Datenproduzenten und Datenanalysten. Dies führt u. v. a. zu der Diskussion, welche Fertigkeiten und Kompetenzen künftig von Statistikern erwartet werden. Data Scientist bzw. iStatistician sind die Schlagworte für eine weiterzuentwickelnde statistische Ausbildung. Big Data, aber auch die damit einhergehenden neuen technischen Möglichkeiten, verändern die Lehre und Ausbildung. Der folgende Aufsatz formuliert einige Thesen zu diesen Veränderungen.
