Abstract

This article describe a possible on-line platform which on one hand is supposed to be used be the Small and Medium Enterprise’s in order to determine if their projects are suitable for financing, and on the other hand by the EU projects management authorities and commercial banks who should provide the necessary financing for the project. The term of “bankable” refers to a project or proposal with high possibility to be accepted for financing by banks (or other financial institutions), on other words means projects that shows a high probability for success in the term of having sufficient collateral, future cash-flow that could cover the bank’s exposure. The users of the platform will be both the banks and the Small and Medium Enterprise’s. The module could be implemented in the banks’ web site and accessed by the Small and Medium Enterprise’s. We propose to use Oracle database for the “ECSIF” platform. In this chapter we will present the results of the research achieved until now, as well as a detailed description of the proposed interface, and the functionalities of the platform.
