Renewable Energy Policy In The Western Balkans: Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo And Serbia

Abstract

This paper presents reviews and an analysis of the policy and support mechanisms for the promotion of renewable in the Western Balkan countries, as well as an overview of the legislation and other official documents influencing the renewable energy sector. The importance of renewable energy sources, along with key information about the countries commitments to renewable energy are also summarized. The methodology used in this article consists in studying and analysing a range of published materials such as strategies, raports, policies, papers and legislation, which represent a theoretical basis for future researches.
