Abstract

Financial market development inevitably leads to the demand for new financial knowledge. Мany countries of the world began to develop and implement programs to improve financial literacy of the population. This article set the task of systematizing world and Russian experience in the field of improving financial literacy to apply it in Russia effectively. The authors formulated the main problems and current directions of improving financial literacy in Russia taking into account the experience of foreign countries. Advantages that citizens, the state and financial institutions will receive in the case of effective implementation of the comprehensive public policy of improving financial literacy are revealed.
