La obra del individuo moderno y el devenir mitante de la economía

Abstract

De modo tan subrepticio como crucial, el desarrollo de las teorías y las prácticas de la economía ha estado marcado por un recurso permanente a la noción del individuo moderno, un concepto histórico que esconde, sin embargo, su propio trayecto ideológico. El presente ensayo busca explorar las fisuras que subyacen a dicho concepto y acusar el devenir mitante de su adopción en el seno de la disciplina económica, lo que se traduce en el ejercicio activo de una obra conformada en torno a la figura del homo economicus, con todos los riesgos que esta norma antropológica implica. Este trabajo constituye, así, un llamado a repensar la economía desde su raíz misma: la noción de individuo, la de identidad, la de propiedad y la de intercambio, a la luz de una reflexión sobre la comunidad y la posibilidad, desde Jean-Luc Nancy, de una comunidad inoperante.
