Gratuidad en la Educación Superior: Economía Política y Evidencia

Abstract

La gratuidad en la educación superior es quizá unos de los temas más discutidos en el ámbito de la educación. Desde el 2011 ha estado en la palestra del debate público, e incluso llegó a posicionarse como uno de los ejes centrales de la propuesta de gobierno de la actual presidente de Chile. En el presente estudio se profundizará sobre la gratuidad en la educación superior, introduciéndose en tópicos de economía política, teoría económica y tecnicismos, además de la evidencia empírica, que necesariamente deben considerarse ante una evidente implementación de la política.
