Abstract

RESUMEN El presente trabajo conecta con una preocupación existente, desde hace algunas décadas, en la literatura económica que se ocupa del territorio como análisis preferente. En concreto, persigue mejorar las herramientas existentes y salvar algunas de las limitaciones que los indicadores al uso presentan para una más adecuada aprehensión de las realidades territoriales, incorporando además de la consideraciones económicas, las sociales y ambientales. La huella ecológica de Andalucía, indicador territorial de sostenibilidad, satisface en alguna mediada este propósito. Además, es un buen instrumento de comunicación y proporciona información relevante para la gestión y planificación de la sostenibilidad. ABSTRACT The present work is related to the existing worry, for some decades, into the economic literature that takes charge of the territory as a preferential analysis. In short, it pursues to improve the usual tools and to save the limitations that the current indicators present for a better capture of territorial realities incorporating besides the economic considerations, the social and environmental ones. The ecological footprint of Andalusia, territorial indicator of sustainability, satisfies in certain way this aim. Moreover, it is a good communication tool and it is provides prominent information for the management and planning of the sustainability.
