Abstract

ABSTRACT Small islands territories are characterized by their fragility when faced with any activity that takes place within them Consequently, the development of such territories should be based on intangible resources that do not deteriorate or erode with use, and whose use does no, or very little, harm to the environment. Therefore, this work proposes a model to enable island territories to achieve a sustainable development based on their intellectual capital. It also demonstrates the application of the model to the case of Gran Canaria.
