Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to measure the effect of the external human resources on the individual firm performance. Using the Industrial District as interorganizational context definition, we propose a model including a set of factors associated with the endowment of external human resources: collective information and learning, and local institutions participation. Findings of the paper suggest that firm must develop a distinct capacity in order to shape and exploit external human resources.
