Análisis empírico de los determinantes del emprendimiento en estudiantes universitarios: El caso de la Universidad de Colima en México

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación consiste en identificar los factores que determinan la decisión de los estudiantes universitarios para involucrarse en actividades de emprendimiento. En particular, el estudio se realiza con base en una muestra de 618 encuestas aplicadas a estudiantes de licenciatura en la Universidad de Colima para obtener información relacionada con sus actividades escolares, extracurriculares, el ambiente de negocios y su situación socioeconómica. Mediante la aplicación de modelos de regresión multinomiales, se encuentra que una situación socioeconómica privilegiada, la experiencia familiar en los negocios, la edad y una alta percepción de espíritu emprendedor y capacidad de trabajo son factores que aumentan la probabilidad de que el estudiante tenga una alta experiencia emprendedora.
