Las Sociedades Cooperativas, una expresión de Economía Social Solidaria. El caso de la cooperativa de productores de artesanías Erandi

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizara la Cooperativa de productores de artesanías Erandi, ubicada en el municipio de Erongarícuaro, Michoacán, en el marco de la Economía Social Solidaria, a partir de examinar los preceptos teóricos de esta última. Se sostiene la premisa que la Economía Social Solidaria es unconcepto emergente frente al sistema capitalista; y, el cooperativismo como la expresión más tangible, cuya práctica y naturaleza está en el contexto de la Economía Social Solidaria. A través de un análisis cualitativo se muestran algunos hallazgos en torno a las premisas, Principios y Valores Éticos que se practican al interior de la Cooperativa, así como la contribución que brinda a la población en cinco dimensiones, a saber: económica, social, cultural, política y ambiental. No obstante que existen argumentos para sostener que la Cooperativa de productores de artesanías Erandi cuenta con elementos que se enmarcan en el contexto de la Economía Social Solidaria, aún prevalecen limitaciones que al mismo tiempo se convierten en retos a superar en aras de fortalecerse y permanecer en el largo plazo.
