Abstract

La expansión del acceso a la educación media se ha convertido en un importante objetivo de desarrollo para los países de América Latina. La formulación de una política acorde con esta meta, demandaría la realización de un profundo análisis del sistema educativo, las reformas acaecidas en los últimos años y las interrelaciones con las distintas esferas sociales. El presente ensayo intentará avanzar sobre algunos de los tópicos relevantes a ser considerados posteriormente en una evaluación semejante, realizando una revisión de lo ocurrido en Argentina y estableciendo ciertas comparaciones con las transformaciones llevadas a cabo en México durante los últimos años.
