Abstract

[eng] Reciprocity, between Psychology and Economic Rationality . Long-confined to the fields from psychology to anthropology, the study of reciprocity is began a major challenge for economics, as the growing number of articles on reciprocity demonstrates it. Traditionally put in situation to decide, individual has to infer the consequences of his actions on other people, as well as the related reactions, in order to optimize his action. Like a mirrors game, individual identifies himself with other people by internalising his norms so as to anticipate the reaction. In this face to face, reciprocity appears as the way that other people is perceived, and affects the original act accordingly. The purpose of this paper is to outline experimental economics studies carried out on reciprocity before presenting the incorporation of some elements of reciprocity into the theoretical models.
