Abstract

[eng] An econometric analysis of inflation, . Unemployment and the nature of expectations. Jean-Pierre Gourlaouen. The aim of this paper is to test empicaly the three theses : kenesian, monetarist and new classical economy, using the method suggested and applied by J. Stein. After the analysis of the links between the three approaches and the hypotheses formulet in matter of expectations, we show that the french unemployment cannot be explain by one or other of theses ; to explain inflation, the monetarist approach seeme the more satisfactory.
