Abstract

[fre] Cet article présente une évaluation de l'importance économique des filières de produits alimentaires sous signes officiels de qualité, pour la France et l'Union européenne. Pour la France, les vins sont étudiés de 1970 à 1997 et les autres produits de 1991 à 1997. L'estimation des volumes dans l'Union européenne concerne les vins de qualité produits dans une région déterminée et les appellations d'origine protégée fromagères, en 1997. Cette étude comparative met en évidence des stratégies de développement différentes suivant les produits et les pays. [eng] Economic importance of agro-food chains of products with an official quality label comparaison of their evolution in France and in the EU - This article presents an overview of the economical importance of food products with an official quality label in France and in the European Union. French wine products were studied from 1970 to 1997 and other french products from 1991 to 1997. European volumes of produced quality wine and cheese with a PDO label were studied for the year in 1997. This comparative paper shows that different development strategies are applied according to the product or the country.
