    Abstract

    A globalização e a localização parecem ser conceitos opostos – a tese e a sua antítese. Porém, os gestores parecem ser capazes de lidar com o paradoxo apresentado por estas duas tensões contraditórias através da representação de uma antítese permite a coexistência de um elevado nível de integração global e adaptação local (em vez de um compromisso entre ambas), à qual foi atribuída a designação glocalização. Neste trabalho discutimos com o conceito de improvisação permite esta síntese, desenvolvendo os dois conceitos que lhe estão subjacentes, isto é, a estratégia “glocal” e a organização “glocal”.
