Saul Gass, a Tribute to Him and to His Leadership in Model Assessment and Validation

Abstract

Saul Gass was one of the early pioneers of operations research. His common-sense approach to model assessment and validation has had an impact on the building and use of policy models for several decades. We discuss his pioneering work in this area.
