Elasticidades Producto del Empleo de los Trabajadores en México: Un Análisis por Ocupaciones

Abstract

El propósito de este trabajo es analizar la dinámica y la estructura del sector laboral de México, así como el impacto del crecimiento económico sobre la demanda de trabajo por categorías de acuerdo a la Clasificación única de Ocupaciones (CUO) del sector laboral mexicano. Siguiendo a Sydsaeter y Hammond (1995), se utiliza una metodología para determinar la elasticidad producto del empleo, la cual se calcula dividiendo la tasa de crecimiento del empleo entre la tase de crecimiento del producto. Adicionalmente y de acuerdo a los resultados arrojados en la construcción de elasticidades, se identifican y clasifican las ocupaciones más dinámicas y que tienen una mayor respuesta al crecimiento del Producto Interno Bruto.
