Türkiye’de dış ticaretin ücretlere etkisi: İmalat sanayi için bir uygulama

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de dış ticaretin ücretlerle ilişkisini 1983-2000 dönemi Yıllık İmalat Sanayi Anketlerini kullanarak incelemektir. Sektörel düzeyde verilerin kullanıldığı çalışmada imalat sanayi, ticaret tabi olan ve olmayan ve ayrıca teknoloji yoğun olan ve olmayan sektörler olarak ayrılmıştır. Dışa açıklık ve ihracat ile ortalama ücretler arasında negatif ilişki; yalnızca ticarete tabi olmayan ve teknoloji yoğun sektörler için ise, ithalat ve ücretler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı, pozitif ilişki bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlar, Türkiye imalat sanayiinde dış ticaretin üretkenlik etkilerinin zayıf olduğunu göstermektedir.
