Abstract

Bağımsız denetim mesleğinin kendi kendini düzenleyici bir yapıda örgütlenmesinin gözetim ve kalitenin sağlanması bakımından yetersizliği görüşleri, 2000li yılların başlarında global düzeyde gündemi önemli ölçüde işgal etmiştir. Finansal krizler ve bu bağlamda kamuyu aydınlatma konusunda ortaya çıkan skandallar düzenleyici ototriteleri bir kez daha kamunun yararını gözeterek hareket etmeye davet etmiştir. Meslekten bağımsızlığı ile öne çıkan Bağımsız Denetim Gözetim Kurulları bu çabaların sonucu olarak görülebilir. Bu yazı da standart oluşturma sürecinin desteklenmesi ve denetiminin kalitesinin bağımsız olarak gözetilmesi yönündeki düzenleyici otoritelerin çabaları özetlenmiştir
