Abstract

According to the European Commission Report "European Economic Forecast- Spring 2016 “, published on May 3,2016, Poland's economy is forecast to grow stronger in 2016, supported mainly by a robust domestic demand. Nevertheless, acelerating the domestic demand will fuel imports, so that the contribution of net exports to GDP growth is predicted to become slightly negative in 2016 and 2017. The solid economic fundamentals will continue to propel strong growth despite the negative effects of the political uncertainty. After a considerable decrease in 2015, the general government deficit is expected to maintain the same in 2016, but is expected to increase in 2017.
