Abstract

The problem of collection and treatment of waste has increased due to the growth of cities and industrialization of the economy. From 1950 to 2000 world population doubled, agricultural production tripled, energy consumption and production have quadrupled while waste generation is five times more. With the growth of the cities collection is done in largest volumes due to large garbage production at home. This research identifies variables that could affect implementation of Environmental Policy for Solid Waste established in the Development Plan of the City of Ozumba de Alzate Mexico.
