Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study possibilities to use inter-farm cooperation as a base for process-oriented management in pig-breeding. Advantages of large pig-breeding farms are grounded, which gives better possibilities to use facilities, labor resources, deepen production specialization, implement resource- and energy-saving technologies. It is stated that development of inter-farm cooperation is motivated by economic law of advantage of large production over small one. Inter-farm cooperation of pig-breeding develops in three main directions: as the factor providing tighter connections between business entities of the branch; as the factor enhancing organizational forms of management in the branch by set-up of inter-farm organizations, corporations; as the factor improving management in existing organizational forms. It is found out that large-scale set-up of process-oriented management system in pig-breeding based upon inter-farm cooperation is connected with certain difficulties: firstly, relevant training of specialists is needed in the field of present-day management; secondly, mentality of company managers develops evolutionally taking long time.
