Semnificația pensiilor ocupaționale în consolidarea sistemului de pensii private din România

Abstract

Pensiile ocupaționale reprezintă o componentă a sistemului de pensii private din România, alături de pensiile administrate privat (Pilonul II) și pensiile facultative (Pilonul III), fiind parte integrantă a sistemului de pensii din România și vizează asigurarea unei pensii private, distincte, care suplimentează pensia acordată de sistemul public. Cadrul legal care reglementează organizarea și funcționarea fondurilor de pensii ocupaționale este reprezentat de Legea nr. 1/2020 privind pensiile ocupaționale, prin care s-au creat premisele pentru obținerea unei pensii ocupaționale, în completarea celorlalte tipuri de pensii acordate. Introducerea pensiilor ocupaționale constituie o nouă etapă în reforma pensiilor, având ca scop diminuarea presiunii exercitate asupra sistemului public de pensii, contribuind în acest mod la dezvoltarea și sustenabilitatea acestuia. Prin funcționarea fondurilor de pensii ocupaționale se urmărește asigurarea unui nivel suplimentar de securitate pentru viitorii pensionari.
