Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to propose a new model for explaining the genesis of the multidimensional concept of intellectual capital. It is a generic model since it contains the constituent entities at the individual level of the intellectual capital and their transformations into constituent entities at the organizational level through the integrators. It help us to understand the very essence of the intellectual capital and its processing nature. The integrators are: organization mission, labor legislation, technological system and the managerial system. The organizational resultants are the following: organizational knowledge, organizational intelligence, organizational behavior, organizational culture and organizational ethics. While the Skandia model offers a static structural perspective on the intellectual capital, this new generic model offers a dynamic perspective of it.
