El efecto de las pensiones no contributivas sobre el bienestar subjetivo de los adultos mayores en México/The effect of non-contributory pensions on the subjective wellbeing of older adults in Mexico

Abstract

En este artículo se estima el impacto de una pensión no contributiva que operó a nivel federal entre 2007 y 2012, sobre el bienestar subjetivo de las personas mayores. Los resultados sugieren que, en promedio, dicha pensión tuvo un efecto positivo y estadísticamente significativo sobre el bienestar subjetivo de las mujeres mayores, aunque no en el de los hombres mayores. Sin embargo, un análisis de impactos heterogéneos por vulnerabilidad socioeconómica revela que hay impactos positivos para los hombres mayores de habla indígena y que los impactos positivos son más pronunciados para aquellas mujeres mayores que no cuentan con primaria completa.
